How to reach the Department of Linguistics and stylistics
The Department of Linguistics and stylistics is located in N°. 12 via San Giorgio (ex Clinica Aresu), on the second floor and can easily be reached by public transport.
By bus
The No. 58 bus leaves from Piazza Matteotti (the square in front of the railway station) and after 4 stops right in front of the Faculty of Foreign languages, where the Department of Linguistics and stylistics is located.
The bus stop is via Santa Margherita (Clinica Aresu).

How to reach Cagliari
By plane
Cagliari Elmas is the main airport in Sardinia with flights operating to and from most major Italian cities and particularly from Rome and Milan. The airport is about 8km from the town and takes about 15mins by taxi (see the section "By taxi") A bus service is also operated by the ARST bus company with buses running around every 30minutes.

The ARST bus station is to be found in Piazza Matteotti, from where you can catch the No. 8 bus to the Department of Linguistics and stylistics.
By boat
Cagliari is connected with several other Italian ports. The port leads on to Via Roma. As you come out of the port, turn left and walk right along Via Roma; this brings you to Piazza Matteotti, from where you can catch the No.8 bus to the Department of Linguistics and stylistics.
by train or bus
Cagliari can also be reached by train and bus from all the other main Sardinian ports and airports.
From Porto Torres you can get to Cagliari by train (www.trenitalia.com) or by bus (www.ferroviesardegna.it).

From Arbatax you can get to Cagliari by bus (arst.sardegna.it)

Both the bus and train station are in Piazza Matteotti, from where you can catch the No. 8 bus to get to the Department of Linguistics and stylistics.
By car
The SS.131 running between Sassari and Cagliari is the major road in Sardinia. On nearing the town of Cagliari follow the signs for "Cagliari centro" (centre). On arriving at the traffic lights in Piazza Matteotti, turn left into Largo Carlo Felice and carry on until you reach Piazza Yenne. Continue climbing up along Via Santa Margherita to Via San Giorgio. On your right you will find a slope that leads to the "Bastione Santa Croce" car park.
