How to reach the venueThe meeting will be held in the”’Aula verde” at the “Cittadella dei Musei”. By bus The No. 58 bus leaves from Piazza Matteotti (the square in front of the railway station) and after 7 stops it arrives in Viale Buoncammino. Cross over the top of the hill and go back along Viale Buoncammino for about 50m until you arrive at one of the old town gates, the“Porta Cristina”. Pass through the gate and the meeting venue is on your left. Alternatively you can catch the No. 7 bus from Piazza Yenne, after 9 stops you will be in Piazza Indipendenza. Go through the “Porta di San Pancrazio” gate and the meeting venue is right in front of you. The airport is about 8km from the town and takes about 15mins by taxi (see the section “By taxi”) A bus service is also operated by the ARST bus company with buses running around every 30minutes.

The ARST bus station is to be found in Piazza Matteotti, from where you can catch the No. 8 bus to the meeting. By boat Cagliari is connected with several other Italian ports. The port leads on to Via Roma. As you come out of the port, turn left and walk right along Via Roma; this brings you to Piazza Matteotti, from where you can catch the No.8 bus for the conference venue. By train or bus Cagliari can also be reached by train and bus from all the other main Sardinian ports and airports. From Porto Torres you can get to Cagliari by train (www.trenitalia.com) or by bus (www.ferroviesardegna.it). Both the bus and train station are in Piazza Matteotti, from where you can catch the No. 8 bus to get to the meeting. By car The SS.131 running between Sassari and Cagliari is the major road in Sardinia. On nearing the town of Cagliari follow the signs for “Cagliari centro” (centre) to reach the “Cittadella dei Musei”. On arriving at the traffic lights in Piazza Matteotti, turn left into Largo Carlo Felice and carry on until you reach Piazza Yenne. Continue climbing up along Via Cammino Nuovo, Via San Giorgio, Via Porcell, Via Fiume. When you arrive at the crossroads, turn right into Viale Buoncammino, pass through the old city gate and you will find the conference venue on your left. Parking is not easy in this area, but you can pay to leave your car in the station car park and take the No. 8 bus to the “Cittadella”.
